The Illuminate Experience

Hi everyone! My name is Michael Liao and I am a Grade 11 student at Markham District High School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Markham’s regional conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about leadership and collaboration. I learned a lot at the keynotes today. During the career panel, I learned that it is especially important in social entrepreneurship to try new things and persevere despite any previous experiences you have in order to discover your journey. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the speakers talking about their experiences. I am looking forward to leading new people in the future and using the things I learned today in the future.
