NHCL CONFERENCE

Hi Everyone! My name is Victor and I am a Grade 12 student at Chinguacousy Secondary School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend the Illuminate National High School Leadership Conference with over 170 students globally. With attendees from Canada, US, and Vietnam.

Some key takeaways from the opening keynote were central around team working and the importance of doing extracurricular activities. Alina Huang described her journey and creation of Illuminate National High School Leadership Conference, and how it grew globally. I learned the power of practical experience and how it can shape one’s life. Some key takeaways from the workshop that Iliana Oris Valiente was the importance of reliance and flexibility. Her life experience was extremely touching and impactful. One thing I learned about the topic is that obtaining a CPA opens countless opportunities that I did not even know about. Some key take ways from this second workshop were the number of jobs a CPA and the salary rage of CPA holders. I learned that 75% of CFO possess a CPA and I also learned the process of acquiring a CPA.

Overall, this workshop was very informative!!!
