Hi everyone! My name is Lauryn and I am a Grade 10 student at the Woodlands SS. Today, I had the pleasure to attend the National High School Business Conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about taking risks in business, and investing early.

I learned that there are many risks involved in business, and that with higher risks, come higher rewards. This relates to investing in different assets as investments like stocks are high risk, high reward. "When you buy a business you are buying its future" This means you need to make smart choices and calculated risks when purchasing stocks. I learned that its better to buy a great company at a decent price than a medium quality business with a very low price. I also learned that when it comes to investing, it's best to invest early as you can begin to accumulate interest earlier, and then earn interest on that. The speakers were very educational on the topics of taking risks and investing in order to benefit financially.

Overall, I had a really cool time and it was a new experience I had never tried before!
