Illuminate x Markham Reflection Blogs

Hi everyone! My name is Elaine Guo and I am a Grade 11 SHSM student at Markville Secondary School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Markham’s regional conference. On April 10, 2021, I participated in the Illuminate x Markham conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about different topics including collaboration, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Today I have learned that it is especially important in social entrepreneurship to try new things and think about the future. The presentation has also motivated me to meet new people and go out of my comfort zone sometimes. Furthermore, the Theory of Change presented by Christal Wang really opened my horizons and allowed me to reflect on how I plan for the future. I really enjoyed the teamwork process and guest speakers. I am looking forward to leading new people and using the things I learned today in the future.
