Illuminate x Markham

Hi everyone! My name is Anna Wei and I am a Grade 9 student at Unionville High School. Yesterday, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Markham’s regional conference. Here are my thoughts and what I learned about yesterday.

A week before the conference my team met up to work on our first case study. Although we didn’t win it was a pleasure working with my teammates to try and create a unique solution to our global issue. Our second case was an extremely fun experience for me as we had only 75 mins to work on it. I enjoyed working under the pressure and presenting our final pitch to Lia.

Each speaker shared their unique and inspiring journey about how they got to where they are today. I had a blast learning about and listening to everyone. I’m looking forward to participating in Illuminate x Markham next year!
