Illuminate X Durham Universe

Hi everyone! My name is Priyanka and I am a Grade 10 student at Pickering High School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Durham’s regional conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about. I learned to go after jobs that interest me rather than jobs that will just give me a high salary. This event has also taught me about the origin of stereotypes against adolescents and how I can begin to combat stereo types I bring upon myself. I also learned about imposter syndrome and how I should change the perspectives I have of myself into a more positive mindset. This event has taught me to be more confident in myself and use my leadership skills I have learned, and implement it into my life.
