Illuminate x Durham Conference!!

Hi everyone! My name is Reya Ramdat and I am a Grade 12 student at Dunbarton High School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Durham’s regional conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about Leadership. I learned that we are allowed to interject to be heard and how to stop being my own enemy when speaking up. I most enjoyed learning about and actually seeing Dr. Ilona Dougherty’s research. I am so glad that what I learned can be so easily applied on my journey through post-secondary since we talked about taking advantage of extracurriculars, internships, and travelling!
