We had the privilege of hosting Sangeet Parashar, an experienced computer engineer from Microsoft. Sangeet shared his personal journey in computer science, the importance of continuous learning and the value of asking questions. His inspiring story of finding his passion resonated deeply, igniting a fervent desire within anyone captivated by his journey to pursue the realm of computer science. Sangeet's Path to Success:

Initially, Sangeet embarked on his university journey without a clear understanding of what lay ahead, unsure of the path he was entering. However, it wasn't long before he discovered his true passion for computer science, which kick started his dedication to continuous learning.


“Don’t be afraid to ask ’dumb‘ questions.” – Sangeet

He encouraged a culture of curiosity and learning, where people should not be afraid to seek clarification and gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. This open mindset proved instrumental in Sangeet's own journey and allowed him to overcome obstacles and reach new heights. Transitioning to computer science from other fields or majors can be a daunting task, but Sangeet offered practical advice on how to navigate this transition. One avenue he highlighted was attending bootcamps, which provide individuals with a structured learning environment and the necessary skills to excel in computer science, regardless of their background. This insight opened up new possibilities for those considering a shift in their career paths.

 

Sangeet's Insights into Technology and Innovation:

Enable self-executing payments, offer a secure and efficient way to conduct transactions.

Powered by cryptocurrencies, provide a decentralized means of managing financial assets.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs)

Digital assets stored on a blockchain, open up new possibilities for ownership and value representation in the digital realm.

Artificial Intelligence

In the realm of AI, Sangeet explores the concept of consciousness and the evolution of AI technology. He notes that automation is the starting point, but machine learning has allowed AI to become more adaptive and intelligent. Sangeet emphasizes the potential of AI to foster creativity and innovation, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements across various industries. Additionally, he demonstrates the process of building a chatbot using Google Dialogflow.
